Dancing
A few tidbits of information for you on your first night out.
What to Bring
- Comfortable, clean clothes.
- Empty trouser pockets (before dancing). That was a cell phone in your pocket, right?
- Non-marking, comfortable shoes for inside the venue.
- A spare shirt. A towel is handy too.
Scent Sense
- Smell nice, but remember that some folks have perfume allergies.
- Wash your hands throughout the night to tame the germs.
Asking for a Dance
- Introduce yourself before asking someone to dance.
- Dance with people of all levels.
While Social Dancing
- Do not critique, or offer unsolicited advice.
- Aerials are restricted to jam circles. (You'll know when you see one.)
- If someone is behaving inappropriately, tell a volunteer immediately.
For anything else, ask someone. Etiquette makes a great conversation starter!
